Where does your joy come from? Does it come from your spouse, your friend, your job, or a coworker? If you are trying to get your joy from other people, sadly you will be disappointed. Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want”. But keep reading in Psalm 23. In Him, we find rest, restoration, righteousness, no fear, comfort and more. In Jesus, we have everything that we need. Therefore in Him, we have everything and also we find our true joy.

Then, taking this a step further, joy is also found in Galatians 5:22. And look at all the other things found in that verse – the kindness and love that we have heard about the last few weeks are there too! If we are full of joy I am convinced love and kindness are much easier. Matthew 12:34b “For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” So if our heart is full of joy – it will flow out through kindness and love.
So again I ask….Where does your joy come from?
