Wednesday in the Word

This week, as you continue to think about godly maturity, I want to encourage you with words from the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Ephesians.

"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms."
-Ephesians 1:18-20

You have the same power in you, the same mighty strength, that God exerted when He raised Christ from the dead. That is a tremendous amount of power! That power is for you to make use of, to apply toward godliness, that you may glorify Him. There is no temptation that cannot be overcome, no amount of spiritual growth that cannot be achieved, no virtue that cannot be added to you through the power that was able to raise up Christ from the dead, for the express purpose of saving your life, too!

God provides to meet your every need - for a new life in Heaven and for a godly life here on earth.

"His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness" (2 Pet. 1:3).
